Castle

Wonderful, adorable friend Shandel is visiting, and I am not the only fan.  She and Julia hit it off immediately and the deal was solidified when she offered her an Elmo ring and a book about animals.  Today we went to a castle called Castel Sant'Angelo (a Roman era funeral tomb -slash-prison from the middle ages).  We walked through darkened corridors, peeked inside cobwebbed closets of armory from the dark ages and finally arrived at the top terrace where Julia was shown 365 degrees of her pretty little native city.
