Julia's New Favorite Shirt

The boys gave Julia this personalized appliqued shirt that had her running through the house in unrestrained glee.  She was the most popular kid at the park as her beloved Peppa Pig is a favorite of anyone under five around here.  She got poked a lot. 

Sweaty girl- the temps went up more than 20 degrees in one day!  

Hanging About

My baby girl may be a lot of things...but a daredevil - she is not.  After watching other kids do it, she has finally brought herself to hang from the bar on top of the slide.  And by hang - I mean dangle 2 inches from the platform and shriek with adrenaline spiked delight.  And then she talks about it in the stroller - reliving it - on the way home.

We have been spending a lot of time giggling with B.

Here we took a "choof choof train" to have lunch with some friends...

 but scoldings were repeatedly issued as they seemed to have trouble staying in their seats.

Special Guest at the Park

Peeenda was brought to the park after much deliberation.   She was told that when we bring toys to the park, we must share them, so, it was said - keep Peeenda at home if you aren't up to it. She waffled back and forth for quite a bit, but eventually decided to bring her.  To her credit, she generously gave all the other kids a chance to meet Peeenda and silently bit her fingers while they played with her.  

Situation Stabilized

Lucio and Julia reached a peace agreement and spent the morning blowing bubbles and giggling.

Tumultuous Park Incident

The tree house was site to a turf dispute that resulted from Julia's sudden and inexplicable refusal to share the tree with Lucio.  He pleaded his case to anyone who would listen, but she remained staunchly unswayed.

ABCs

Now we know our ABCs, well kind of...

Dandelions

Julia found it terribly funny when I told her the "neno pahtah" (that would be "yellow flower" in neither English or Italian) was called a Dandelion.  She giggled and gave a growl each time she found one, and by the end of the morning we had a basket full of them.
