These purple petals come from a tree called L'albero di Giulia, or Julia's Tree and we spent ages sifting through them, piling them up and discussing in great detail how they are "not yum-yum". She thought she was sitting on a pile of delicious treats and her "yum-yum"s could be heard for miles.
No one can fault thinking they would be yummy treats. It's so pretty! I love the sense of awe and the simultaneous focus in the last picture. So sweet!
