Monkey shines, sticking out her tongue or simply running away - I can't get a picture of this girl to save my life. She is so over my camera.

La Cuginetta
There is no doubt that Julia loves her cousins. Here she is getting to know her new Italian cousin Alessandra, who just turned five months old.

Back at the Farm
This was taken the day after we returned from America. Papà whisked us right off to the farm to greet old friends.
Oops
Consider this an open letter of apology to my three loyal blog fans who have been saddened and disappointed by the lack of updates on Julia. I finally understood the gravity of the situation when during a recent skype session, her grandmother expressed shock by the amount of hair she had grown. I can't allow another millimeter of hair to sprout forth from that head and not have you pay witness to it. Humble apologies and a vow to move forward, grandma and grandpa.

Conquering her Tiny Fears
Despite her adoration of cats, she has rarely gotten up the nerve to approach one. A few weeks on the farm has turned her into a little daredevil.
More Adventures...
Not my favorite activity. That tiny little speck on the bridge is papà and Julia as they dangled over a monstrously violent waterfall. Please note the "walkway" on the side of the cliff where Leo had to contort both himself and an excited flailing Julia in order to squeeze through.

Uncertain
When Julia was 16 months old, a cow she was talking to gave a hearty "mooooo" and startled her so much, she continues to talk about it today. In fact, every cow she has encountered on this trip is judged "nice" only if "him no moo". And so while getting acquainted with her new pony friend yesterday, a most unfortunate thing happened....
Ponies
This little piece of paradise where we are staying is home to 12 ponies, 2 llamas, 2 bunnies, several guinea pigs and lots of cats. Needless to say, Julia is out of her mind. She is a staunch animal lover, but her fear of all things living and breathing keeps her from frolicking about with them as she would like to...
All until yesterday afternoon, that is. They released 10 ponies into the baby playground and Pixie was both thrilled and terrified. Well, first terrified and after a lengthy span of time - thrilled.
